Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 September 2026
These Terms of Service apply to every card assessment, cleaning, restoration, pre-grading preparation, handover and related service provided by CardCureSG ("we", "us", "our"), a business operating in Singapore.
By sending us photos for assessment, submitting a card, making payment, or handing a card to us by drop-off or mail, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use our services
By submitting a card you confirm that:
- You are at least 12 years old. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian has approved the submission and is responsible for payment and for these Terms on your behalf.
- You own the card or have the owner's full authority to request the service.
- The card is not stolen, unlawfully obtained or subject to an ownership dispute.
- The photos and information you give us are accurate and complete.
- You are located in Singapore. We accept Singapore submissions only.
We may refuse or cancel any submission where ownership, authenticity, legality, safety or payment is in reasonable doubt.
2. What we do
We work on Pokémon cards only, in English and Japanese, both raw cards and cards already graded and sealed in a slab. We do not work on sealed product, booster boxes, display cases or cards from other games.
Depending on the card and the service selected, our work may include:
- Surface cleaning and removal of dust, oils, fingerprints and debris
- Sticky residue removal
- Holo scratch treatment
- Edge restoration for surface-level edge whitening and edge lifts
- Dent reduction
- Slab cracking to release a graded card for restoration and regrading
- Pre-grading inspection and condition reporting
- Preparation for grading submission or protective storage
Slab cracking. Opening a graded slab is permanent. Once cracked, the original grade, label and the grading company's guarantee no longer apply, the slab cannot be resealed, and the card returns to raw status. By requesting slab cracking you accept this and confirm you understand that the card may receive a lower grade, or an altered designation, when resubmitted. We take reasonable care when opening a slab, but you accept that the process carries a risk of damage to the card, including scratches or edge damage from the slab itself. We are not responsible for the loss of the original grade or any value attached to it.
All of our methods are non-invasive. We never trim, recolour, repaint, coat, seal, fill or add material to a card, and we do not use chemical solvents on card surfaces.
The exact treatment depends on the card's condition, age, finish and construction. We may recommend a different treatment, or decline a treatment altogether, where we believe the request carries an unreasonable risk to the card.
3. No guaranteed result
Cleaning and restoration do not guarantee an improvement in a card's appearance, condition, market value or grade.
You understand that:
- Some damage cannot be removed, reduced or hidden.
- Cleaning may reveal scratches, print defects, staining or other issues that were previously covered by dirt or residue.
- A card may look unchanged, or different from what you expected, after treatment.
- Dent reduction may not fully or permanently correct a dent, bend or warp.
- Results vary from card to card and may differ from the examples in our gallery or on social media.
Before and after photos show previous work only. They are not a promise of the same outcome for your card.
4. Risks you accept
Card cleaning and restoration carry unavoidable risks, even when reasonable care is used. These include increased visibility of existing scratches, changes to gloss or texture, whitening, lifting or separation of layers, warping, permanent alteration, reduced market value, and rejection or an "altered" designation from a grading company.
Hidden weaknesses, earlier repair attempts, manufacturing defects, age and unstable materials can cause damage during treatment that could not have been predicted from photos or inspection.
By authorising our service you accept these risks. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.
5. Pre-existing damage
We are not responsible for damage, defects, alterations, contamination or weaknesses that existed before the card reached us, including anything not visible in your photos, hidden under dirt, residue, sleeves or cases, caused by a previous cleaning or restoration attempt, or discovered only after work began.
We photograph every card on receipt, and may photograph or record it during and after treatment, to document its condition.
6. Grading companies
CardCureSG is independent of PSA, BGS, CGC, TAG, SGC and every other grading company, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
We do not guarantee a specific grade, a grade increase, that a card will be graded at all, that it will not be designated altered, or that two graders will reach the same decision. Grading standards and outcomes are decided entirely by the grading company.
Any condition assessment or grade opinion we give is an opinion, not a warranty. We are not responsible for grading fees, shipping, lost value or other costs arising from a grade that differs from our opinion.
7. Assessment, quotes and pricing
Assessment is free and carries no obligation. We assess from the photos you send, then confirm on receipt of the card. If the card's condition on receipt differs materially from the photos, we may revise the quote before starting work, and you may withdraw at that point at no charge.
Prices are quoted in Singapore dollars. Published prices are starting prices; the final price depends on the work required and is confirmed before payment.
Any additional work outside the agreed scope will be quoted and approved by you before it is charged.
8. Authorisation and stopping work
Payment of the quote is your authorisation for us to carry out the agreed work.
We may stop work at any point where continuing could cause unreasonable damage, where hidden damage is discovered, where the card appears counterfeit, altered or unsafe, or where we need further approval from you. If work is stopped after it has begun, charges may still apply for the inspection, preparation and labour completed.
9. Turnaround times
All turnaround times are estimates. Delays may result from card condition, drying or stabilisation time, submission volume, your response time, courier delays or events outside our control. We are not responsible for losses caused by a missed estimate.
10. Payment
We accept PayNow, bank transfer and cash. Payment is due after your free assessment and before restoration work begins. Cards are not released until all outstanding charges are paid in full.
A payment dispute or reversal does not cancel a service that has already been authorised and performed.
11. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel at any time before work begins. If you cancel within 12 hours of payment and work has not started, you receive a full refund and the card is returned in its original condition at no charge.
Once inspection, cleaning or restoration has begun, completed labour and materials used are non-refundable.
Refunds are not provided solely because you are dissatisfied with a subjective result, the card receives a lower grade than hoped, the card is designated altered, the card's market value changes, damage could not be fully removed, or you change your mind after work has started.
12. Handover, shipping and risk of loss
Cards reach us by drop-off arranged via WhatsApp, or by tracked mail. If you mail a card, you are responsible for packing it securely. We recommend a penny sleeve, a semi-rigid holder, a padded mailer, tracked postage, insurance appropriate to the card's value, and photographing the card and packaging before sending.
Risk of loss or damage in transit rests with you until we confirm receipt, and passes back to you once the card is handed over at return or lodged with the return courier, except where Singapore law provides otherwise. Couriers are independent third parties. Loss, theft, delay or damage in transit must be claimed through the courier.
We confirm receipt of every card with photos on the day it arrives.
13. Declared value
You must tell us the approximate market value of each card before service. We use this for handling, risk assessment and return shipping. We may ask for evidence of value, require additional insurance, apply a handling fee, require a separate written agreement, or decline cards above a certain value.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, our liability for any card is limited to the declared value you provided.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, including the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003, we are not liable for grading outcomes, loss of market value, sentimental value, lost profits, indirect or consequential loss, damage arising from pre-existing defects or earlier treatments, courier loss or damage, packaging errors, or inaccurate information supplied by you.
Our liability is limited to direct loss shown to have been caused by our failure to use reasonable care, and is capped at the declared value of the card or the fee paid for the service, whichever is lower, unless a higher limit was agreed in writing before we received the card.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy that cannot be excluded by law.
15. Inspection on return
Inspect your card as soon as you receive it. Any claim relating to a wrong card, missing card, transit damage or alleged service damage must be sent to us on WhatsApp within 7 days of confirmed delivery or handover, with clear photos of the card and packaging, a description of the issue, and an unedited unboxing video where available. Keep the original packaging until the claim is resolved.
Claims made outside this period may not be investigated, except where the law provides otherwise.
16. Unclaimed cards
We will make reasonable attempts to contact you when payment, instructions or a return arrangement is needed. A card may be treated as unclaimed if payment remains outstanding, you do not provide return details, or you stop responding for more than 90 days after our last attempt to reach you. After that period, and after written notice to your last known contact, we may dispose of the card to recover our costs, as permitted by law.
17. Authenticity
Authenticity verification is not part of our standard service. We may refuse service where a card appears counterfeit, reproduced, altered, stolen or misrepresented. We are not responsible for confirming authenticity unless we agree in writing to do so.
18. Photos and marketing
We photograph every card for documentation, quality control and claims. We may also use before and after photos and videos of your card on our website, social media and other marketing. We will never publish your name, contact details or any personal information without your permission. If you do not want your card featured, tell us on WhatsApp before work begins and we will exclude it.
19. Personal data
We collect and use your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012. Your name, contact number and card details are used to process your submission, communicate with you, arrange handover, prevent fraud, keep service records and meet legal obligations. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
20. Intellectual property
All content on our website and social media, including photos, videos, text, branding and service descriptions, belongs to CardCureSG or is used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce or commercially use it without our written consent.
Pokémon and all related names, characters, artwork and trademarks belong to their respective owners. CardCureSG is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak or any grading company.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection that applies to you.
22. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you submit a card applies to that submission. The current version is always published on this page with its revision date.
